Electronic Systems development is becoming more and more complex, fast and powerful and power consuming. Indeed the transistor miniaturisation dramatically increases the power consumed by the whole chip [1]. These lead designers to think of different design approach such as Multibooting or Partial Reconfiguration to reduce the amount of logic present in the chip at the given time. The Multiboot is a feature that allows the FPGA to selectively load its bitstream from attached PROM containing two or more bitstream. Once a MultiBoot operation is triggered, the FPGA restarts its configuration process as usual, and the FPGA clears its configuration memory and reconfigures from the PROM with the new bitstream.
